The Products screen

Products holds two things: the instances that you run, and the plans that you can add. Press Products on the left side of the window to open it.

The header carries one button, Billing. It opens the payment screen. See Billing.

The list of instances

The newest instance is last, so a new one appears where you finished reading.

Each row says this, from left to right:

  • the plan name, and the region after it, in small text;

  • the address, in large text. It is a link while the instance answers. Press it, and the product opens in a new tab;

  • the state, as a coloured badge. See States;

  • the date, under the state. It reads Renews on an instance that goes on, and Ends on one that you cancelled;

  • the actions button, at the right. See The actions menu.

A row says more when there is more to say:

  • Nothing has been built and nothing has been charged yet — with Finish payment beside it, on an instance that waits for payment;

  • a moving bar, while the Portal builds the machine or installs an update;

  • a red line, when the build or the update failed. The line says what went wrong;

  • Show administrator password, while the password is still unread. See The administrator password.

An account with no instances shows Nothing running yet, and the plans below it.

The list of plans

The plans sit under the instances. Each card holds:

  • the name of the plan;

  • the price. A plan with no price is free. Stripe shows the exact amount at checkout;

  • the description;

  • the list of what the plan includes, with a check mark at each item. A line such as Everything in Pro, plus has no check mark: it introduces the items under it;

  • the count of the instances of this plan that you run already;

  • Choose this plan, which opens the activation screen. See Add an instance.

A paid plan that you already hold stays on offer. You can run several instances of one paid plan.

You can hold one instance of each free plan. When you hold it, its card shows One per account in place of Choose this plan. To start the free plan again, cancel the instance that you have. See End an instance.

If the screen says No plans are configured yet, the administrator of this Portal has added none. Ask that person.
